Naan Sense Indian Diner

Its not the fact that the $20 meal is falsely advertised and is more expensive at the checkout or the fact that the portion is 3 tablespoons of rice, curry and protein or the fact that the staff and rude and openly mock you but the fact that the establishment is an unhygienic open air buffet with King street blowing in to it freely and it left me with serious food poisoning after I purchased a sour and rancid tasting Palak paneer. Atleast the attitude/food of the owners is consistent to what they will make your body produce after eating there. There's a reason why the restaurant has 30 empty tables at all times.

Buying curry and rice which is meant to be half curry and half rice however this is how they provide their serve. 90% rice with only 10% curry. In addition to that they top up their gravy with water in front of customers too.

I went to the newly renovated store called Naansense, thinking it would be nicer. However, this restraunt is complete Nonsense just like it's name. I ordered their afternoon special that was rice, two curries and naan with a drink; which set me back $20 in newtown and when i asked for a seperate container for the curry they said that will be extra, eventhough i was dining in. The same combo in the CBD will knly cost me $17 and taste a lot better. The butter chicken was soo sweet as if it was a dessert and the naan was so dry. I dont recommend anyone goes here cus it is so bad.

Prices are steeper than the usual Indian diners I frequent. Added to this I got charged ‘meat prices’ because I ordered palak paneer and apparently ‘it costs more to make’. I asked where it was stated on the menu… and they directed me to a little label in the bain-marie which wasn’t where I was looking to order. A bit stingy tbh

The best!! One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. Good energy. Good service and great food. I’ve been vegan, vegetarian and meat eater and always have something to eat. Highly recommend if you want a yummy casual bite alone or with friend!!
