My partner and I were greeted by a lovely waitress who seated us beside the window seat. Beautiful plant decor and very aesthetic. The Roti Chanai with Curry was a beautiful blend of pancake and bread, SO FRESH! Had a stir fry for main and my partner had the Pad Thai which he devoured. Overall a wonderful dinner, great service and not overly priced.
We had a delightful dining experience here. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Our meal was served promptly and the staff were very welcoming. We took a chance despite some negative reviews and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our meal.
Found this place on Tripadvisor. Five of us had a fabulous dinner. Had Aromatic Duck, Duck Roll and Skewers for appetisers. Thai Green Curries, House Special Fried Rice, Kung Pao (a little different from Hong Kong Style) and Black Bean sauces. I have to admit, was a tad skeptical but all the food were fresh, loads of veggies and not overly sweet. Price was definitely more reasonable than a lot of other places nowadays given the current inflation. Definitely recommend.
My friend ordered vegetable spring rolls and King Prawn Thai Green Curry, along with a glass of Rosé wine. I opted for chicken skewers in satay sauce, chicken in satay sauce with fried rice, and a glass of coke. However, the quality of the food was disappointing. We brought our concerns to the attention of the waitress after finishing our starters and again during our main course. At the end of our meal, we expressed our dissatisfaction and were willing to pay for everything except the subpar King Prawn Green Curry. The waitress insisted that we pay for the entire meal. When we requested to speak to the chef, he became defensive and refused to explain the preparation of the dishes, only insisting that we pay. Things escalated when the chef called the police, who arrived and sided with the restaurant, stating that we should have sent the dish back immediately if we were not satisfied. This was not feasible as one cannot judge the taste of a dish until they have sampled it. It is unfortunate to have had this experience in Clifden, as it is otherwise a wonderful place. Previous negative reviews of the restaurant suggest that there may be issues that need to be addressed by management in terms of food quality and customer service. The restaurant, being the only one in Clifden offering Chinese, Thai, and Malaysian cuisine, has the potential to excel with improvements. It is crucial for the management and staff to take constructive criticism into account and strive for better standards in order to provide a better dining experience for their customers. Remember, the customer's satisfaction should always be the top priority.
Ordered our meal, noticed we were the only people in restaurant. When the food arrived I was very disappointed, vegetable spring rolls were so hard I couldn't cut them with a knife and contained no filling. Ordered a king prawn Thai green curry and what came was a green slush of congealed sauce. Prawns were not fried just put into sauce which tasted of nothing. The noodles arrived and again bland with no flavour. Was left upstairs unattended so had to go down to the kitchen, knock on the door and ask for soy sauce to give the Thai curry a flavour. Another couple came in and sat down, after 10 minutes they got up and left. I mentioned to the waitress about the poor food and asked to see the chef. He became defensive and called the Gardi. Totally shocked by his attitude. He wasn't willing to accept that the food was below standard. I can honestly say I've never had such a terrible experience.
