Salt - Fernandina Beach

This restuarant is located in the Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island. The food is to die for. I think next time my husband and I will probably just stay at the hotel so we can come down and eat. The menu is amazing and so is the stmosphere. The view is spectacular too. They even have a vegetarian menu. Plus I would love to see their Christmas menu! The prices are high but it's worth it for the delicious food!

The food and staff at Salt are absolutely amazing in every way! We have been to Salt countless times and have never been disappointed. The staff are most friendly and accommodating we always feel welcomed here. The one difference we noted this time over our previous dining experiences is the high level of noise from the speakers used by the guitarist making it difficult to have a quiet dinner conversation not to mention difficulty hearing the servers and not particularly appropriate in our opinion for a five star restaurant.

Everything was great except for where they put us. It wasn't the main dining room, it was a tiny two seater table in an off room. The ambiance wasn't the best. Everything else was wonderful!

We've been to Salt many times for special occasions. We went for our 24th anniversary dinner. The service was good but the food was not as good, as we expected. We were disappointed. In the past the menu was personalized for a special occasion and we had been greeted with a sparkling wine toast but none of that occurred this evening. We had the tasting menu and the best part was the ceviche and dessert. Our server Eva was amazing! Just disappointed in the creativity of the food. The ingenuity that used to be part of the experience was lacking. We probably could have gone elsewhere for a similar dinner experience. Not what we wanted for our 24th anniversary. We've had better meals there. Sadly we don't expect to return.

Without question one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have ever had! The service, the attention to detail, our personal server, the presentation from appetizers, to entree, to dessert was absolutely incredible! Take all that coupled with appetizers and entrees that simply melt in your mouth makes Salt at the Ritz a must for any special occasion!
