Feedback gevenStarting with a 20 min wait to check in, I got the feeling something was different. I haven’t stayed here since before the pandemic, and I was a frequent traveler then. Since I was standing in line with not much to do, I could over hear the check ins in front of me and 2 out of five rooms were not ready at check in time of 4pm. Check in was smooth for me thankfully, and we got a room in the North tower The room? Very clean. No issues The bathroom? Very clean. They now supply paper cups in the bathrooms which was a bit surprising to me. Turned on the water to fill up a water bottle and it was grey (see photo). I ran the water for a while thinking it would clear but no. I asked housekeeping about it and was told “it should be fine to drink”. I don’t think so. I bought some for $2.50 a bottle in the drink machine instead. Beds were comfy with very soft pillows that are not adult sized. But there were three of them so I managed. We have CPAP machines and had to move the night stand from the wall as there were no power outlets available near the beds. Also, the screen from the in room assistant we had to shut off because we couldn’t figure out how to turn down the brightness. No clock by the bed. Played in the casino for a while. It’s not as fun as pre pandemic. The machines are not as fun as they used to be. Mostly Asian themed games. Nothing with an interactive game. I didn’t find much I enjoyed. Skagit has much better machines We got a pizza from pizzanini and it was yummy as usual Overall not a horrible stay but nothing spectacular.
When we arrived we noticed the room counters dresser needed wiped off. In-room tablet for music identifying hotel amenities wouldn't connect. Called front desk to report tablet not working and they said would send a technician. Never showed up. Watching TV 10pm and it stopped working, lost connection for 30 min. We visit Bellingham several times a year, I think it's time to find a new hotel.
Front desk was bad. Not going back to stay. They used my credit card for another customer without my knowledge or authorization. Never told me. And when I called, they weren't about to apologize or comp me anything. Won't be back to stay.
My wife and I stayed at the Silver Reef Resort in June 2022 to celebrate 10 years together. We booked a stay and play room and had a great time! The steak house is truly the best restaurant in Whatcom county (and the best steaks we've ever had), the casino is clean and smoke free, and the room we stayed in was beautiful. Every staff member all the way to management were amazing, and you can't go wrong with an indoor pool and hot tub. We'd highly recommend a stay here to anyone!
They say you have a beautiful view of Mt. Baker. I had a beautiful view of scrub trees and brush out of my fourth floor window. At check in, I was told they cleaned the rooms every three days. I was there for nine days and nobody ever cleaned the room. In fact, the room was never vacummed prior to my checking in, there were popcorn pieces on the floor. The vent in the ceiling above the sink was caked with dirt. Front desk was very pleasant and friendly and the room did have nice furniture in it. The bed was comfortable.
