Cucina 503 - FERRARA

The most delicious and by far the most original pasta I have eaten in Italy. The home made bread was very good compared to the dry loaf of bread you usually have to eat. Dishes were refined and well presented. It is high level cooking! Excellent!!

Really good food, nice service and good value for money. I ate mixed grilled meat and it was really delicious. Not to mention the sweets, which are really delicious.

Lovely restaurant in a peaceful setting. Friendly owner/chef prepares very generous portions of delicious local food.

The menu card was both in Italien and english, and the staff was kind to explain the dishes. It was very good and the waiter found the perfect wine for our food.

A lovely large pool welcomes you to the Cucino 503 hotel. The amalgamation of modern pool view with the classic building design takes you someplace else(spiritually). You can’t help staring for a few moments and then try to adjust the modern-classic picture together in your head. However, it’s not only outside appearance that dazzles your mind. Once you step inside the building, it starts absorbing into your imagination even deeper. You’ll again have mixed feelings once you see hanging on the wall masterpieces of Magritte, picture of Santiage etc. My first interaction with the owner Matteo was quite unusual. Why? Because his humility, kindness and respectful nature made him very unique from all other hotel owners I ever met. He’s very gentle and guides you through everything you need to know. What I noticed when I first entered my room? Well the brick walls, amazing wooden furniture, wood ceiling with yellow lights! I have been to many hotels as I’m fond of travelling but never did any hotel room welcome me with such a warm soothing feeling. I felt like jumping on the bed and have a long relaxing nap, I did! Next step was to experience Cucina 503’s restaurant and bar. Everything else seemed great so I was hoping that food doesn't ruin the whole image I had created so far. It didn't! Neither the food nor its prices disappointed me. Food was absolutely scrumptious. Pasta with a glass of wine; it was a perfect dinner. I thought I couldn't be more impressed with all I had experienced. But then I went to the bar and met Alassandro. At first I thought he’s just trying to get me drunk by indulging me into some meaningful conversation. I was wrong because every time I talked to him I felt so much better without even getting wasted. He really earned a special place in my heart as a friend. The hotel also provides guided tours to the city. I was feeling heartbroken while leaving this place. As a frequent traveler I’m aware that not many hotels can emotionally indulge you like Cucina 503 did. I’ll definitely be visiting again.
