We had Sunday brunch. The food was good, but not outstanding. Given the number of choices offered, we were able to find food offerings that our whole family were satisfied with.
Good choice of menu and good meal, although not very hot. Long and very ordinary service. Also they charged us 2 bottles of wine rather than 2 glasses. Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian options and a vegan one so we could do ahuster if needed. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
Extraordinarily slow and inattentive service — never asked how everything was/if we needed anything, only took one additional drink order after the first (over four hours), water glasses rarely filled, etc. Took us four hours from sitting down to signing the check and leaving! Waiter didn’t seem to know the menu very well/projected a vibe of indifference. Sommelier was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. Food/drink was fine. Salmon entree was well made but sauce was overly sweet/lacked balance — needed some form of savory or acid to offset. Pork belly app and cheesecake were both very good. Spicy margarita was not spicy at all but fine otherwise. Conehead was Conehead (canned; no draft beers available). For a dress code restaurant (lol) at a very expensive resort/club, quite disappointing. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Connected to the historic Basin Harbor Inn, the restaurant is finer dining than many of the local options we found. Fine table cloths and linens adorn the tables and real silver utensils are at the ready as you enter the beautiful dining room. The hostess was formal and extremely polite and led us to a table by the window's with a view of the basin that is to die for. I love the fact there is a dress code on the weekends, gentlemen should wear coats suit coat, i wish more places did this, however during the week the dress is resort business casual. Our server was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu, the menu its self was concise which i really don't mind especially when most food groups are represented. I opted for an appetizer of shrimp kebab, fried and served with a delicious sauce. For mains i went for the lobster ravioli served with black garlic dusting with a simple sauce, homemade and well presented, in fact all the meals we ordered were beautifully presented. the steak was cooked to perfection and the cheese plate dessert was super fresh. Service was absolutely first class, incredibly friendly and professional in all aspects. Reservations are certainly required during the season.
