Balgove Larder - Fife

Very good place to eat with colleagues during the day. Good options for vegetarians. Also has an excellent farm shop/deli alongside.

This restaurant is extremely popular, so expect to wait in line for a table. As one of their plaques says, "We may not be fast food, but it is good food." They offer a diverse menu, so you should be able to find what you're looking for. There is also a Steak Barn. After your meal, make sure to check out their food hall and their extensive butcher counter.

This restaurant is a disappointment. We waited for 30 minutes for a table despite there being plenty available. After finally being seated, we were ignored for another 30 minutes before anyone took our order. We gave up and left without even being acknowledged. The staff seemed to lack direction, just wandering around without accomplishing anything. It's a shame, as this place has the potential to be great.

Met a dear friend there for coffee lunch. The food was good, but the service dreadful. Inattentive staff who eventually took our order, but when we then went on to order lunch a bit later, we had to ask for the table to be cleared twice. Then again waited for 20 minutes to get staff to take a coffee order. Staff need to be trained better shame as it lets the Balgove down.
