Dom's Chip Shop - Fife

I ordered a chicken burger and a king rib supper. The chicken burger had spoiled lettuce on it and the king rib was excessively greasy. When I called to complain, the manager was extremely rude and hung up on me. I messaged their Facebook page instead, but they accused me of adding the lettuce myself!! When I left a review on their Facebook page, it was promptly deleted. The food was terrible and the customer service was just as bad. Save your money and avoid this place.

After a 13-hour shift tonight, I decided to try Dom's for the convenience, as it is just a short walk away from my house. I called in an order and went to collect it when they said it would be ready. To my surprise, when I arrived, there was a sign saying Cash Only! This made me feel uneasy, but I went and got cash anyway. They don't use boxes like Dom used to, so the food was squashed into a bag, which caused it to stick to the paper. I walked back to my house in 2 minutes and found that the chips were cold. It was a disappointing experience, as I live so close and the food was not up to par. The fish was tasteless, and the small amount of chips I received were cold and had a strange taste. I even tried to give it to my dog, but he refused to eat it. I will stick with Danniis in the future or go to bed hungry. The new owners need to go, and the next owners must bring back the quality of our local chip shop. I am hesitant to give even one star! TripAdvisor should consider introducing zero stars, as that's what I would rate this place.

I used to think Doms was one of the best fish and chip shops in the area, but my recent experience was a complete disaster. It seemed like they had completely different staff working there (as confirmed by other reviews) with eight people behind the counter and no customers in sight when I arrived. It took nearly fifteen minutes for them to prepare just one of the two meals I ordered. Unfortunately, the other meal hadn't even been cooked yet, so I had to wait another ten minutes for both items to be ready. Once I got home, I realized that the quality of the food was just as bad as other reviews had mentioned. The chips were particularly unappetizing. I will definitely not be returning to Doms again.

Had our regular order of fish and chips, pudding suppers for our family, unfortunately the fish was tasteless, white pudding was fine. They are now selling half price kebab's and hoggy wraps, we visited near closing time and the kebab had been cut and stored in the hot metal container's- no way would they have used it all for that evening and I'm sure would be stored for the next day. We will not be back and will go elsewhere for a quality fish and chips.

Tried Doms after hearing it has new ownership and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I had a fish supper and the portion was huge. 2 large pieces of fish and enough chips to do 2 people. The fish was cripsy and an all round nice taste. Well worth the money.
