Laurelbank Steakhouse - Fife

My wife and I went to the restaurant for dinner on Monday night. The staff were very helpful and we had already made a reservation online. We brought our son's dog with us, which he enjoyed since they are great with dogs and provided bowls of water and lots of cuddles. We ordered from the supper menu, which was a great deal - buy one meal and get the second meal half price, available Monday to Wednesday. I had the steak pie and my wife had the Mac n cheese, both were fantastic and worth it. We will definitely be returning.

Visited the Laurel today for Lunch. Sat outside in a very nice area and served by courteous staff. Ordered coffee drinks came promptly followed shortly by one meal. A not too bad steak pie and chips. I didn’t appreciate being required to eat with wooden knife and fork a metre from people inside using steel? Where was the staff member coming around asking ‘us everything ok with your meal?’ After a further 20 mins the second (gluten free) meal hadn’t arrived so I found the waitress who scuttled off to investigate. She returned a few minutes later to apologise as the order had not been processed and would be a further fifteen minutes. There was no offer to placate us, no restaurant manager rushing to put matters right or anything. As the bill had been paid on ordering WE had to ask for a refund! But merely deducted the undelivered meal. No eye contact, very abrupt. We left, very disappointed, one of us hungry one of us hungry to return to our moho and grab a sandwich. I can assume all sorts of excuses for them but no a **** up was made with no efforts to recover customer satisfaction.

Very nice meal with good service. Good value with large positions. Staff were all nice and friendly. Chicken burger and beef burger were both very good .

This was a spur of the moment booking but turned out to be an excellent choice. This small hotel could not be faulted for friendly service and fantastic food. Fabulous cooked breakfast and my husband raved about “the best steak pie ever!”

Lovely meal here tonight, staff very friendly and helpful! Great offer on too buy one meal, get second 1/2 price!
