The Brig Fish - Fife

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a special fish supper on a Friday, called ahead for collection, and was told it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. However, when I arrived, the order was not ready and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes. The fish was thin and oily, and the chips were served cold. It seemed like the breadcrumbs were the only thing holding the fish together. I will not be returning to this restaurant. It felt more like a breadcrumb supper, as there was hardly any fish included in the dish.

On the evening of Friday, 28th, I ordered 2 single fish and 2 large chips from this restaurant. Upon opening the food at home, I discovered that one of the fish was not freshly cooked. It was very dry with overcooked and burnt batter that appeared to have been left under a hot light for too long or fried multiple times. I couldn't eat it as the fish was also too dry. This has occurred multiple times now, and I believe it's best to take my business elsewhere. I attempted to give this feedback through their website multiple times, but it was not accepted.

When my husband was alive and our sons were small, a trip to the Brig was a special treat for our family. During a recent visit with my sons, they suggested treating me to a meal, so we headed to the Brig (although they preferred the Rice Bowl next door). While they wanted something different, I opted for my favorite - chips with curry sauce. As I sat in the car, I couldn't resist trying a few chips, but was disappointed to find them pale and undercooked. I immediately returned to the shop to inform the lady at the counter, who agreed to cook me a fresh batch of crispy chips. When they were ready, I received them and thought my complaint had been resolved. However, when I got home, I realized that the Brig staff had given me white and raw chips again. I was very disappointed in the immature behavior of the staff, and this experience has led me to make it my first and last visit to this fish and chip shop.

Ordered 2 single fish, onions and a portion of chips, onions ring were hard and cold so was the chips, the fish was ok but not that hot, delivery was double the estimated time and the food was disappointing

Good food, delivered promptly. Will continue to use regularly, can't really make a better endorsement than that
