Have read other reviews saying it’s too expensive which it’s not. Prices everywhere have gone up everyone knows that. I know how hard they all work and how hard it is too make a living so if we want these great little places to survive please keep supporting them. Iain
Lovely accidental find. Very small and quirky downstairs but I believe upstairs is bigger. We both had a Rheubens sandwich and it was delicious. Next time we are out that way I’m taking my husband for lunch.
As a village resident I feel very lucky to have this wee gem on my doorstep. The menu is simple but full of flavour and the coffee is excellent. Definitely the best cafe in the village.
My mum and I went into the Sundial cafe for lunch today. I had the 'Ham, Swiss cheese and apple ' grilled sandwich (without the apple and she had the 'Mushroom Melt ' grilled sandwich. Both came with a side salad, coleslaw and crisps. My mum had actually visited the cafe the day before aswell with my Stepdad and ordered the same thing : I had a cinnamon latte, then a caramel latte and my mum had a cappuccino then a regular latter. We finished the meal off with her having a blueberry danish pastry and me a chocolate brownie. No complaints at all the food was lovely and the ingredients were obviously fresh and high quality. The coleslaw was homemade and very tasty. My mum thoroughly enjoyed her pastry and the brownie was one of the best I have ever had. It is a lovely, quaint cafe with a nice atmosphere. The spiral staircase is a lovely feature in the upstairs section which is where we were sitting. I was facing the window and could see the sea which was very relaxing. The waitresses were nice and friendly, and everything was served quickly. Will look forward to visiting again!
I went here for breakfast and thought it was an okay place, very over priced in my opinion for what it was. The coffee was lovely but the food was quite boring. The menu I found to be quite limited and instead of set meals, you had to add on items bumping the price even further.
