The cornbread muffin was perfect: not too sweet (leave that to the honey butter) and a fine hold-together texture. The coleslaw was great, too. Atmosphere: spotless, three dining options, inside, outside, or open barn. We’re frequent visitors to the area—we’ll come back!
Barbecue that falls off the bones, BBQ Beans were Amazing and the Cornbread is Legit!
The meat was cooked to perfection and tasted great, but the excessive BBQ sauce overwhelmed the dish. The sandwich bread could have been fresher. Despite these minor issues, the service and atmosphere were top-notch.
We've been to WartHog several times and the food has always been great. It's been a few years since we'd been there. We were in the area for a football game so decided to go there for lunch. We got to the restaurant about 11:30am on a Saturday. My wife and I both ordered the Baby Back ribs. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed this time. The meat had been cooked so long the bark had gotten tough and crusty, to the point it couldn't even be chewed. The beans were tasteless and watery. The coleslaw had a good flavor but was a little dry and the sweet tea was WAY too sweet. I grew up in the south eating this kind of food. And, unfortunately, this was sub-par. I'm not sure what happened to a Once Great BBQ place. But I'll have a tough time convincing my wife to go back.
One of the best BBQ in the Seattle area we’ve had. We’re from Texas and its been hard finding great bbq here in the PNW. BBQ brisket, pulled pork are top notch. Same deal with the sides, such as the cornbread muffins (amazing), seasoned fries, beans and slaw. Didn’t have any pie but all homemade and looking goooood!! A must try…..
