A Cantarinha - Figueira da Foz

Chose the place on reviews and also specialists in fish. We waited ages for a starter, my oh ordered salmon but after 30 mins the waiter told her that there was no salmon available! After another 30 mins the replacement pork secretos meal arrived but it was inedible as the meat was tough. Service was poor, no attention to customers and no interest in providing a good service. Avoid in high season we were told by some locals when we mentioned where we had been to eat. Good advice!

Disclaimer: I understand how Covid has affected restaurants, so everything I say here could be a result of that struggle. It wasn't my first visit to this restaurant, but it might be my last for a while. We used to go there for their octopus and their fish in general, but tonight the octopus was chewy, the fish was overcooked (except for the squid, those were under and also chewy), and the fries tasted frozen.

They were very accomodating, they were just closing for lunch we didn;t want to wait hours for dinner they seated us took our order served food and they had their own lunch in back room and just told us to let them know if we needed anything else. Outstanding serives and very good to excellent food. fresh, simply prepared and delicious

Sempre que vou a Figueira almoço neste restaurante. Para mim é top.
