Pe Na Areia - Figueira da Foz

Went here for a business lunch without a reservation. It is a lovely restaurant on the sand beach with some very nice decorations. Service at the restaurant was good, a bit slow at the end but still acceptable. In terms of foodc we had some standard appetizers (e.g. fish pate, olives and olive oil) with an amazing main dish which was a big 2 kg fresh flounder fish on the grill. It was grilled perfectly and it came with some potatoes and vegetables. It was definitely better than I expected. We drank some excellent dry white from Duoro produced by Castello dAlba. Definitely a great fish restaurant on the beach to try.

The location of the restaurant is directly at the beach and it’s a nice view but the food is terrible. We had a steak and it tasted rotten. The food is way too expensive! You get bread and olives etc as a starter before you even order. We thought that this is for free but at the end everything was listed on the bill although we didn’t even touch half of it. We don’t recommend it.

Awesome service, great variety menu perfect for fish, great list of wines. Take the dinner looking the sunset is must at this restaurant.

Na praia, bem longe do centro. Caro, mas tudo de bom. Gostamos das ostras e do pregado português. A cava de uva preta recomendada também é muito boa. Bom serviço.
