A longer journey is definitely worthwhile to visit the Elia restaurant. First of all, there is the beautiful view you have from here of the mountains and the coast. Above all, a visit is worth it because of the extremely friendly host Nikos, who also in German patiently answers questions from guests interested in the island even in German and, last but not least, because of the exceptionally good cuisine. It's always worth taking a look at the specialties of the day; here they cook with a lot of love and sophistication. The individual specialties have already been reported in detail in other reviews, which is why I don't want to go into them in more detail. However, I would like to add one tip: After the delicious meal in the Elia restaurant, you can complete your visit to Sellia with a visit to the silversmith Janis and his wife (both also speak German) right next door. In addition to the pieces of jewelry on display in the store, you can have Janis make beautiful unique pieces from silver according to your own ideas. The quality of the handmade pieces is excellent and the prices are absolutely fair.
