I was obviously skeptical, especially when this place was located pretty far outside of the touristy area and I seemed to be the only one that didn't speak Italian in the place. The waitress could hardly speak English which I totally get and not a bad thing, but just trying to set the scene for y'all. The vibe of the place was Inspector gadget meets a Yardhouse. If you don't know what Yardhouse is, I can't blame you. It's a slightly upscale american bar/burger joint. I got the Perfect Burger, and it was ENORMOUS. Enough to feed a family of 3. Maybe 3 and a half. It was just one step shy of perfect. I was so rattled that I struggled even getting a quality pic of it. That's on me. I would consider this an elite burger back home!! No room at the more authentic Italian dining experience IN the nearby market itself, it was just so very bitterly cold, walking around seemed plain silly..so we hopped straight inside where it’s warm friendly..comfortable too! They have fine wine by the glass it’s a great opportunity to try different wines at one meal … Bolgheri was irresistible to me my husband preferred Vino cal.Libero…both great ! Even better were our hamburger choices . I could not resist the amusingly named “ After Covid” equally clever was my husband’s choice : “Filling Burger” ..both fat/ thick Patties. Nicely medium rare without us asking! my only disappointment was the promised potatoes turned out to be a massive pile of potato CRISPS..YUK. LAZY kitchen laziness this truly truly disappointing. Burgers need REAL chippies, guys! Decent macchiati to finish a terrific, unhurried lunch was enjoyed by us both !
The staff here were as friendly as any in Turin. They were attentive, Another rant complaints about tap water. We ordered water and Frizzante and got both still and sparkling water in bottles. The food was excellent, the salads in particular. My main problem with my dish was getting too big a portion. Interesting the moronic reviewer Japaneseg2022 was unable to explain why he felt treated like a pig....so I ignore his rant.
So.... I came from South America and some local friends suggested this place. But the service was really bad and frustrating. I'm not gonna explain all the experience, but they treated us as pigs. We didn't come here to be pigs but to eat pigs!!!! Wtf is wrong with them. I'm really angry and hungry
I’ve ordered specifically without any cheese and lactose products. But the waitress said that the parmigiano its without lactose. I don’t like to get things I didn’t ordered and the of course that said it was impossible to eat it avoiding the cheese. Extremely ignorant the fact ti lecture us that the cheese is without lactose. They are serving tap water which is then billed because it’s like filtered. All together we were disappointed. More when we compare the price with the service. Thanks
