Il Pallaio - Firenze

My husband and I dined there today had no idea about this restaurant and walked in off the street. Incredible whole branzino fish with grilled vegetables and a lovely glass of Rose. They brought us a complimentary appetizer of wonderful marinated anchovies on thinly sliced bread we loved it, even though we generally don't like anchovies! I had the chocolate mousse for dessert to top it off what a great spot!

I often go to Il Povero Pesce, as the quality of the food is always very high, very fresh the fish and excellent cooking way: natural, to preserve the full aroma of the fish. I strongly recommend this fish restaurant to fish lovers. All is on fresh fish. Do not expect to have meat or vegetarian. Shrimps, Sea bass, Dorado, raw appetizers, fried mixed fishes, different kind of spaghetti with frutti di mare, are usually in the menu. You can choose in which way to have them served. The kindness and professionalism of the waiters is helpful to drive you to the best offers of the day and price value is absolutely in line with level of quality of your disches.

I was recommended this restaurant for my birthday from my Airbnb in host. I walked in to make a reservation and the head chef came out to great me. He was an extremely nice guy and made my party feel very welcome. When we came back that night for the reservation, he came out to personally translate the menu to each one of us and made sure we were taken care of to the fullest extent. The food was incredible, not to mention! So much so, that we decided to come back for dinner the next night. I had the tuna steak and the seafood risotto, but I am sure that there is not a bad option on the menu.

We almost accidentally discovered a really interesting place with proposals of goose fish as mooring and octopus cooked at low temperature. friendly and helpful service. honest prices. Good.
