Koto Ramen - Firenze

I got a poke bowl and proceeded to throw up for the rest of the day. Maybe their ramen is better but I would not get anything raw here again, maybe it was a bad day whatever but that can have serious consequences. Please handle your raw fish safer!

The staff are not friendly, especially to Asian people. ramen are not that kind of noodles but more likely instant ones bought from supermarket.

I joined my italian friend who wanted to taste good ramen, even though I was sceptical to try ramen in Florence in the first place. Another ramen place with good Tripadvisor reviews was a huge dissaponitment earlier. I´m an enthusiastic lover of ramen, especially tonkotsu. Tonkotsu broth is rich, fat and creamy it takes approx a whole day to constantly boil. I ordered tonkotsu ramen here, and I´m sorry to say but dissaponited big time. The broth was so thin and so spicy, didn´t taste authentically made at all. It´s usually a pleasure to empty bowl of broth. But not this broth, no. Topping was minimal. A few small pieces of chasu pork was good but a bit strange, because it tasted like a roast pork in chinese manner. Red onions made the broth red when I finished eating. The shoyu egg was made properly just that the white egg was so hard and chewy. Noodle itself felt like properly and nicely made and boiled. Unfortunately it didnt work out well for me. But the location and atmosphere are great, though.

Ramen better than my whole life, really great. I took a poké and people with me took both sushi and ramen and no one was disappointed, indeed it was a superpleasant experience!
