Stefano's - Fishers

We ate there last night. The food was good but nothing special. The pizza was a B better than the delivery places but not in the same league with Bazbeau 's. The service was the worst I have ever had anywhere in the past 10 years. Every step from ordering to drink refills to getting the check meant getting up and finding our server. They had 2 servers working and only 5 6 tables were full during the evening so they were not busy at all. Our drinks sat empty most of the time. My wife had two glasses of wine, both of which took 15+ minutes to be delivered. It was awful. I will never go back.

We use to go there quite often and take new guests, however, they started getting stingy with their garlic rolls and charging if you wanted them with salad or a refill and we stopped going there. All other Italian restaurants offer unlimited bread and that helps make the experience what it ought to be!

My family and I tried it for the first time last week. We seen it their for the longest time but thought it was too fancy. We went in and the place was very elegant. We grabbed a menu and a server came to greet and seat us. To my wife and my surprise, the prices were very reasonable. So we stayed and ordered. The food was great and the garlic knots are to die for. The kids had pizza and I had the Stefano's trio. Way too much food, it was so good that we asked the server to box the rest. Now we have found a great place to eat, I wish I had tried it earlier.

When our appetizer arrived, it was served without the accompanying sauce. When we inquired about it, the server mentioned that we needed to request it specifically, even though the menu stated it would be served with sauce. Additionally, the table and booth were dirty, and my fork had leftover food stuck on it. The server couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu and was generally inattentive throughout our meal. Meanwhile, the only staff we noticed consisted of a few teenagers hanging out in the back, chatting and texting; we didn’t see any adults or a manager during our visit. Now we understand why there were no other customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night. It's unfortunate because the food itself was quite good.

The food was quite good, but the service left much to be desired. We had to seek out the server every time we needed something, whether it was to place an order, get a drink refill, or ask for the check. This really spoiled the experience. The restaurant wasn't busy at all; our server had just two tables to manage, yet they were rarely in the vicinity and never came to check on us.
