What a place to eat and drink in, friendly staff and really good food, with the added bonus of being pet friendly. We turned up, not even sure we could take the dog in. Once we sat down and browsed the menu, we both decided to have the Sunday roast. The staff instantly told me that, unfortunately, they had run out of the vegetarian option (no waiting while I waited for details on what was available). We did have to wait a while, but we're not bothered about waiting as long as it's good. Well, what happened next was not expected! The food that turned up looked and tasted fantastic. There was a good selection of vegetables and a separate jug of gravy. Tell me about any other pub that does this without paying a fortune. Without a doubt, it's one of the best Sunday lunches we've had a a long time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went on a Thursday evening, solo, after a long day. It's a proper pub with a warm welcome, friendly staff, an excellent pint, and decent food. Also a lovely outside area that's a bit of a sun trap! It's not trying to be anything special, but they got everything right from my experience. Would happily return for food or just drinks! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely friendly staff. Had an afternoon tea which was superb. Only problem was, we couldn't finish it! Took the rest home. Definitely worth a visit.
