The bbq meat was good, nice but nothing to rave about. The dance and entertainment was wonderful, very professional dancers, a good length of time and also included Brazilian martial arts which is cool. Great night out for anyone, well worth a visit
The place is very fun, with salsa classes during dinner. They serve an all you can eat brazilian style barbecue and the food is good, but the show is better. Drinks are nice too.
My family and I went to Copacabana for an early Christmas dinner, and we were in the upstairs part where there is entertainment (a couple of shows) and a DJ afterwards. I believe downstairs had a band and then a DJ, I checked downstairs a couple of times but I think for a family friendly environment, I would recommend upstairs. Loved the vegetarian options, and meat was decent but I 'm not a person who loves meat anyways the rest of my family loved it. Unfortunately, my brother in law gave a waitress his card to charge for a glass of beer, but they charged for a jug instead they gave us a 'free ' cocktail but technically it was already paid for by their mistake. However, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was interesting, fun and interactive. Loved the experience.
After reading poor reviews and upon initial impression of this place, I wasn't expecting much. But I was actually pleasantly surprised! It's incredible that this massive venue is hidden right off Smith. It has an old-school members only drinking hole kind of vibe in the lounge upstairs, and the main dining room is rustic and lodge-like.<br/ <br/ I was there with a group on a pay per head dining plan. I was told that my vegetarian option was whatever's on the salad bar, and that I'd also receive a kitchen item later. I never did... But the salad bar was more than enough to satisfy me. The beetroot quinoa salad, in particular, was delicious. So much plant based protein, so much variety of veg. Not just chips and plain lettuce.<br/ <br/ I skipped dessert, but did grab a slice of barbecued pineapple, a simple delight. As for drinks, most are overly sweet and not very strong, but the mojito is alright and the caipirinha is even better.
Are you looking for something different? Maybe a like of Brazilian/Puerto Rican type of food and entertainment? This might be an option you'd like to consider. Food is Average, but the ambiance and energy is overflowing. Go and see yourself and you'll know.
