Le Colonne - FIUMICINO

We ate dinner and breakfast here. It can be busy, as this is a busy hotel with lots of travelers transiting and, though a fairly large seating area, can require a wait for dinner, so be prepared. Evenings are ala carte menu, breakfast is buffet with an omelette station. Service is pretty good and there is a wide selection of food for breakfast.

This was quite literally the worst food I have ever had in my entire life. My expectations were low given it is an airport hotel, but it was genuinely the worst meal I have ever had. The pizza was a disgrace to Italian cuisine. The pizza seemed to have Cheeto dust or cheese whip on it. Honestly, unsure what the ingredients were. The service was just as bad with the food with our server disappearing for long periods of time. We also had to wait for a long time to receive the food just to be disappointed by how terrible it was. Waiters also dropped glasses which shattered on the ground on multiple different occasions. Overall, terrible and expensive.

I tried a pizza at this Hilton recently, and it was a HUGE disappointment. The main issue was the cheese. They used a type of cheese that tasted very artificial, like cheese whip, which made every bite hard to swallow. It was so bad I could only eat one slice before I had to stop. This wasn't the alright pizza I was expecting from the Hilton. So if you're thinking about having dinner there, I'd suggest never EVER go to Hilton for dinner considering the price of this dinner as-well.

I also question the ratings for this restaurant. I would say it is well above what one usually finds in hotels. Not trying to exaggerate and say it is Michelin star worthy, but it in every way, it provides a perfect option for dining in this area. I found the food well , well above average; the service was fast and the staff was more than pleasant and welcoming. I would return immediately to this restaurant when at the airport. I would like to give a special shoutout to the two persons who served me (and I hope I have their names correct): Marta who seated me, and took my order, and Stefano who was the maitre, I believe. Both a real credit to the management. Well done and THANK YOU

The wait for a table was over an hour, the food was ok, the lasagna lacked flavor, it was drowned in chees, with too little filling. The burger was goodService was good
