I believe i got my money's worth and the food tasted good. But the icing on the cake were the students running the stand: Ashley, Franque, Brett, and Marley. Awesome students who clearly enjoyed their jobs. Pleasant faces and great smiles change the environment of a food stand and make a clear difference in visitor interpretation and reception. Good job guys.
Cheapest pho in town. Not the best, but will do in a pinch. I'm not in college but really needed a pho fix that didn't coast 12$. So this is a good option. Good vegetable options and fried tofu.
My experience? I genuinely wish that Star Ginger had never been created. I regret having tried it so much that I sometimes feel like I would have preferred not to have been born at all.
Overall, it's a decent choice for a food option in a college food court. They offer one vegetarian option, which is quite tasty. When it comes to the soups, stick with the basic pho and add some soy sauce for extra flavor. I would advise against the curry, as I discovered they include fish sauce in it.
I would give it 2 stars just for their sweet potato fries. Honestly, I don't see why there’s even a rating system. It’s one of only three places to eat on campus, so you don't really have much choice.
