For my husband's 50th birthday we booked the restaurant for a long table dinner with 20+ friends. Michael (owner) the chefs/kitchen staff did an great job with the food and the atmosphere. It was a brilliant night and I would highly recommend Amore.
We had a wonderful evening at Amore last night. Both of our meals were tasty and well prepared (in particular we loved the al-dente pasta, not many get it right). The ambience was so friendly and homely. We look forward to our next visit.
Very small space, maybe a little over 20 seats. Owner/host gives the very warm greeting on arrival. Burrata on toast, don't know which was best, toast or burrata. Risotto was sublime and orecchiette with artichokes and sausage in cream sauce was equally good. Menu and daily blackboard specials, BYO and some drinks, Aperol Spritz. Reservations a must.
Our dining experience at the restaurant was decent, but a bit on the pricey side. The wine selection was limited and expensive, with our first choice not available. After a few recommendations, we settled on a red wine that was not to our taste and ended up paying $59.00 for another choice, which we found unreasonable. Eventually, we opted for a local red that we enjoyed, priced at $39.00. It was disappointing that they no longer allowed BYO and that a bottle of water was brought to us without us realizing there was a charge of $7.50 added to our bill. A more updated and reasonably-priced wine menu would be beneficial for this small neighborhood restaurant.
