Stanfield's River Bottom Grill

I recently discovered this amazing floating restaurant and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is absolutely delicious. Although seating is limited, the steak portions were smaller than expected (the filet mignon was more like a regular steak). However, the Buffalo chicken appetizer was incredible! The crabs and shrimp were also top-notch, receiving a perfect 10 out of 10 rating from me!

The hamburgers at this restaurant are fantastic! You can taste the smoky flavor from the grill and they are very large. Make sure to come hungry. The restaurant is small and located by the water next to the marina. The wait may be a bit long, but it's worth it. The atmosphere may not be beautiful, but you will see a diverse crowd, from people coming straight off their boats to couples on a date. It's a great spot for families. They offer a military discount, but only on the service member's meal. Enjoy!

The view alone makes a visit worth it in this floating restaurant. But we love the food too. My wife and I visit as often as possible and we are ready to wait for outdoor seats. There are many places to sit and watch the river when you have a waiting period. The food and the staff are great. It closes briefly in winter, but it is a must-stop place for spring, summer and autumn.

We went there on Saturday night for my mother in law?s birthday dinner. We had 14 people and since they don?t take reservations we showed up at 5 pm. When we told the person at the hostess stand how many we had we were told it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait. It was hot outside and the waiting area was full. We waited an hour outside and slowly got to sit in the waiting area. They took a number of people that came after us before we were seated. We finally got a table and ordered. The food was good but after having driven an hour to get there and waiting an hour and a half, the experience isn?t one I want to repeat. We will find another place that takes reservations.

As a northerner visiting the southern region for work, I decided to try some local seafood. The salmon and shrimp kebabs were both delicious. However, the corn on the cob was a bit lacking in flavor. The IPA I ordered was ice cold from the tap. I sat out on the deck and soaked up the last rays of sunshine for the day. I would recommend stopping by this restaurant in Florence and then taking a stroll along the docks.
