Black Walnut Cafe Flower Mound

I was looking for a place for my Birthday dinner and stumbled across a drink on Facebook from The Black Walnut. From there I looked up there menu and I knew this was the place for me. When I walked in it was beautifully decorated, nice and quiet. The gentleman at the counter explained to us how to order, so after looking over the menu for about 20 minutes we decided on the New Orleans Noodle, Blue cheeses burger and beef fajita tacos. I must say this is American food at it's best. I went home thinking of that blue cheese burger. The thought of it makes my mouth water. I live about an hour and a half away, but I would make this drive faithfully just to eat here. Be back soon!!

The steak salad medium with tomato savory dressing and added goat cheese is SO amazing! Never been a steak salad person before this one-the flavor is outstanding!

Loved the atmosphere, staff and food. Tomato basil soup had a few pasta shells which made it more delicious..

We eat at the Black Walnut often for breakfast and lunch. Everything we have ever had is excellent. The Carnitas Tacos are some of the best. We've lived in California and Arizona where the Mexican food is authentic and not Tex/Mex (ugh) and these tacos are equal. I also love the Pico Benedict with the eggs scrambled. The desserts and gelato is scrumptious and the staff aim to please.
