Feedback gevenThis has to be the worst restaurant I ever ate in.Beef vegetable soup was just french onion ,fish was tasteless and undercooked batter, coffee was cold, grilled ceasar salad...really?? you just kill the lettuce bys..looks like its rotten..sandwich bread was so hard as a rock and most of all extremely over priced..go to any other restaurant on the island but stay away from this one. If i was to give a tip it would to get a real chef there and for goodness sakes. lower your prices for the **** you serve there....prices here are reflected by the new inn on the hill and also owns both places..$17 for soup and sandwich..really???
We ate lunch here twice. Both were excellent and a welcome change from same dishes in most other places.
Fish & chips were terrible. Under-cooked and mushy. Sent it back and waitress didn't apologize. It was taken off the bill but we were very hungry but felt that if they couldn't do simple fish & chips then there was no point in ordering anything else. Waitress didn't come to check on how the food was. We had to flag her down even though the dining room was not busy.
This is a retro review, as we dined at this restaurant three times in 2011.
If you're on Fogo Island, this restaurant is a must-visit! We enjoyed our meals so much that we returned twice, and couldn't stop thinking about the delicious carrot cake. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed.
