Mexquite - Folsom

Mesquite is one of our favorite restaurants in Folsom. Their entrees are great. I wish they served better corn chips, as their salsa is outstanding. The number of times we were asked if they could pull our plates became comical. Actually, it became annoying after the 8th or 9th time they asked.

Enjoyed the atmosphere at Mexquite. It’s a nice place to meet for a more formal Mexican restaurant. The food wasn’t anything special, but it worked for the occasion.

Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. She loved the food and I was very impressed with the customer service along with the food.

This restaurant used to rock. In my opinion the food is only average at best anymore. The carnitas that I ordered were dry (over cooked) and had no flavor. The wife's shrimp enchiladas were just a smidgen better. I expected more from them at their prices. Left me with heartburn that night and halfway through next day. Think it was the salsa. I'll try again but not for awhile.
