El Olivillo Restaurante Bar - Fondon

After a morning exploring the lead mines in the area, this bar provided cool beers and snacks with seats outside, under shade.

Visited this restaurant for lunch as part of a trip to Bodega and ceramics factory. Greeted by who we assume was the manager/owner who looked like he was less than pleased to see us. Stale bread and warm salad greeted us along with an unlabeled opened bottle of what Was we think red wine. You would not even use as vinegar it was disgusting. Starter of soup and pork with pasta was ok. Fish main was inedible tasted like it had been cooked for a month. Steak was ok but too many bones. Cake for postre was ok. All in all a very average lunch a bit like a school dinner. As we were leaving a huge row broke out with the owner/manager who complained we had ordered 3 bottles of white wine and not paid for them. 1. we thought table wine was included and 2. if the red wine had been drinkable we would not have ordered more white. Awful food would not return stay away. One plus was the lovely young waiter that served us who cried when we gave him a tip

Friendly and helpful staff. The food selection is good and the portion size is generous. Good value for money.

A great place to be in family. barbecue tables and pool in summer.

We often go to this bar and always get very happy, both for the service provided by the owner and for the food. highly recommended!
