Tricky to find and $15 valet parking.Good service, though our server seemed to have limited English and didn't follow up after the first post service check in. Nice runner and hostess who brought port at the end.Crust salad wasn't cold and some of the greens were starting to go. The beets seemed less like roasted and more like pickled to me. Veggie pizza was everyone's favorite, though we borrowed some sauce from another dish because it was under sauced for our taste. Chicken parmigiana was giant, but not exceptional as I'd expected from its award. Beef mushroom risotto was fine, but I could have used hot sauce with its mild flavor. We'd intended to order desserts, but didn't want to stay longer in the heat.
Got food delivered by Uber eats and the taste was amazing! I ordered the pink sauce gnocchi, and some garlic rolls, and a chocolate cake. The gnocchi tasted fresh and flavorful and the pink sauce was beyond words delicious and fresh; you could tell that it was homemade as there were whole pieces of tomato in the sauce itself. This is some of the best pink sauce and gnocchi I've ever had! The garlic rolls were amazing too, with lots of garlic, Parmesan, and olive oil. I feel there might have been a smidge too much olive oil but it was great nonetheless. The portions are huge, and the pasta that I had could easily feed 4 people, I had to save the rest as leftovers. My only complaint, and why it's 4 stars is that I had ordered their chocolate cake and was really looking forward to it, but it was missing from my to go Uber eats order. I'm not sure if this is on the part of the restaurant or the delivery driver forgetting it, but either way someone should make sure (like a hostess or something) that when the driver picks up the food that he has the total order. I can't attest to the ambiance as I ordered delivery.
Decent Italian American food with high prices but huge portions. You need to make a reservation to eat here, but they have a lot of availability during the week.We were a party of 8 two families of 4. We ordered the burrata and prosciutto to start, and then each family ordered a pizza and pasta dish to share. I thought the food was fine, and while the prices are high, the amount of food is pretty huge. The other family ordered the chicken parm, and it was honestly a serving platter worth of food (at least a pound of pasta, all heaped with chicken, sauce and cheese). The pizzas are 12 inch, bigger than a standard personal pizza, especially since the crust is on the thick side, and they put on a lot of toppings. I tried the pepperoni pizza and the lobster ravioli. The pizza was good but not traditional, Napoli style pizza. The lobster ravioli was okay, although the peas were mushy, it was all drowned in sauce, and some of the ravioli tasted fishy. (The ravioli dish was a decent portion but much smaller than the chicken parm, FYI.)At the end of the meal, they brought out a digestif for all the adults in the group, which was nice.A quirk of the restaurant is that they don't allow substitutions, and they upcharge for sharing. My preference is smaller portions of better quality food, so I'm not a fan of their strategy. I would have preferred to order more, smaller dishes than have 4 people share two dishes and then pay the upcharge since the portions are so large. As we were traveling from out of town and most upscale hotels don't have microwaves in the room, leftovers were not an option.
Food here is absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are huge definitely shareable plates. The gnocchi was delicious I don't recommend it as left overs tho. The next day it was kinda mush. Good dessert selection. Sea salt caramel cheesecake was very good.
Best dining experiences I've experienced in Florida, hands down. I grew up in NJ so I do tend to hold high expectations with pizza generally. That being said my fiancé and I went to Crust after I had surgery. They take reservations but were able to fit us in on short notice. The restaurant is decorated with beautiful ornaments, statues, and art. Gave me feels of a modern day Italian renaissance, both inside and outside. For food, boy was I in for a surprise! Incredibly large portion sizes, amazing flavor, and a unique fresh ingredient tasting menu. I tried the mocktails because I wasn't supposed to drink to die for, so refreshing. I tried a variation of different things on the menu. Everything was so good, we made a reservation at our dinner table for two days later where we tried even more of the menu. Each dining experience capped off with a wine send off at the end of the meal with the owner. (I ended up drinking something). From the warm welcome to the end of the meal, the entire experience made me feel like a regular as the staff remembered who I was and made me feel like a fixture in their restaurant. I recommend without reservations (please make reservations) and will return without question whenever I am in town! Great job to the team at CRUST!DISCLAIMER:My average review score 3.41 when I made this review (take with a grain of salt)(I rely on Yelp to go to places with good reviews, may account for the higher average)
