Royal Bavarian Schnitzel Haus

We wanted something different for dinner so I checked the Yelp reviews. Reviews were good and only 25 minutes from home. What a find! This place is going to be a regular for us. They had a charcoal grill out front for BBQ. Also a enclosed, open air beer garden in the back. We started with french onion soup and goulash soup. Both were very good. Then came the salads, just the right size. I had the Bavarian Sausage Platter which was 3 different sausages cooked on the grill, red cabbage, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Also a basket of hot fresh baked rolls.We ordered apple strudel to go for later at home. Everything was excellent. Service was great and the prices were reasonable. We will be back.

We went to some German restaurants where the service was unfriendly. All the other guests had ice water given to them, but not us. Fried chips which not only steamed but German. Not good. Had been drunk the beer as the user is not asked Whether she could bring yet another, only to requirements-and then came a beer. The hostess each guest not only justified when it was us.

Wonderful food freshly prepared. Daily specials you would think you were in Germany. Hands on owner, very friendly. Read other review think maybe reviewer has issues. Have been here many times. Recommend it to all my friends.

Although this appears to be a charming restaurant our experience there was an utter disaster. As we were dining, some very noisy friends of the owner came into the restaurant and sat at an adjacent table. Because we could not converse over the noise they were making, we chose to move to another table. After we moved, these people then began shouting across the room at us and started calling us some very vulgar names. When we protested to the owner, he said that these were his friends and he would not do anything. When we said that we would never return, he said that was OK. Apparently, his friends were more important to him than our patronage. The owner apparently has no problems with his patrons being insulted as long as his friends do it. So if you enjoy vulgarity, and like having your evening ruined, this is the place for you. I can only recommend that you avoid this restaurant.

The food was good. However, very overpriced. The waitress had the nerve to chase us out of the place for a more tip. We had already given her $20 tip and she told us we had to give her more tip. She had no right to do that. It was rude and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. She should be ashamed of herself. She wasn’t worth the $35.00 tip she demanded.
