Malga Campon - FONZASO

While on vacation in Feltre we visited Malga Campon for lunch. It is an adventure to find by auto as the GPS does not like the mountains. But it is worth the effort. When you get to Passo Croce d'Aune look for the brown and yellow road signs which will point the way. It is worth it. We had gnocchi with smoked cheese, spezzatino with potatoes and pastini and polenta. All three dishes were amazing. The cheese in the gnocci was so very good. They were very busy at lunch and with two servers they were literally running to serve all the tables. Not for a fast lunch if you arrive at lunch time, but we were not in a hurry, enjoying the cool air and nice views so we did not mind. The prices were very reasonable. They did not laugh at my terrible Italian and were very patient in translating the menu for us. I would definitely go there again, and highly recommend a visit if you are in the area and have a couple of hours for the drive and a nice lunch. I would not drive up there if it is raining or worse as it is on top of the mountain.

Abbiamo passato un bellissimo ferragosto, ottimo cibo, musica , tanta gente , ben organizzati.

Bellissimo posto dove si mangia bene e genuino in un ambiente cordiale e familiare
