Forbes Services Memorial Club

Stopped for a quick coffee on a Sunday. 25 minutes for two coffees and two biscuits. Coffee and tea was ok. I know it's a club but wanted people to be aware very slow.

Used to love having a good cheap lunch here Now I'm left wondering whose idea it was to change everything and charge like a wounded bull for a meal At around $80 for two and that doesn't include drinks, I know I'm not the only one giving it a miss Time for a rethink Club Forbes I've never seen the Bistro so empty

No gluten free options so I was forced to order loaded chips. They came lukewarm and had cold, yes cold, bacon pieces sprinkled over it. I took it back and the cook said that’s the way it’s served???????? The person I was with also had a lukewarm piece of fish and the chips were also lukewarm. I would not go back there.

When visiting from Queensland we stop into the club to have a meal. Always great food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Unfortunately due to move interstate we are no longer members of the club, but that doesn't stop us from visiting.

I am surprised that a bistro does not include vegetables in their meals and charges an extra $6 for them. Additionally, requiring customers to also purchase a salad is absurd. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
