Famous Dave's -b-que - Forest Lake

Ordered fried shrimp and crispy onion strings as takeout. Both were awful. Both extremely salty and on top of it, the crispy onion strings were greasy and soggy, not crisp and had an aftertaste. The onion strings in particular were so bad, I just threw them in the trash but at $9, that's not right. Service was very good.

Just seen an employee pick up food smell it make a face and put it back on the plate and bring it to a table. Not giving me confidence in the food. Looks good tho. Our food seemed good overall.

The place was nearly empty but clean. The staff were friendly. The food was okay. None of the kids would eat the Mac and cheese! You don’t get nearly enough cornbread with a family meal. The brisket is good.
