Been here about 20 times in the last year or so. We typically go on weekends for a Pho and some BBQ Pork for lunch. Its usually quite busy but we've never had to wait for long for a table. You do have to wave a few times to get the staffs attention, they don't deliver all the meals together and sometimes have to be reminded to bring the tea or soft drinks but it is worth it.The menu has loads of options in it. We usually order Pho soup or a noodle dish for the adults and the kids love the BBQ pork.Typically get out of there for around $50.Bring cash as they don't do EFT.
I think the previous review must be from the owner & I have no idea why this place was so busy(maybe it was simply because of the festival) but from the extremely rude/incompetent staff to the worst Vietnamese food I've experienced, & so expensive!. After we decided what we'd like we waited about 20mins for our orders to be taken before trying to get the attention of staff, finally after 25mins we managed to find the rudest waitress & ordered combination crispy fried noodle(came with absolutely no sauce whatsoever & pork that smelt & tasted revoltingly off), combination rice noodles(came swimming in sauce), seafood rice noodle(came swimming in sauce), stir fried chicken cashew(came swimming in sauce) & prawn & pork Vietnamese salad(which we were told it would take over 15 mins to prepare which was fine because we could start with the other meals). We also ordered 4 drinks which after asking staff several times came out after 30mins. People who arrived after we placed our orders received their food way before us!!! After another 30mins & consuming all of our drinks we began to get somewhat impatient & managed to get the attention of another staff member who returned a short time later with the prawn & pork salad(which was said to take the longest out of our meals to prepare?! Another 10mins or so passed & the combination crispy fried noodle arrived, then 10mins later the chicken cashew arrived, then another 10mins for the seafood stir fried noodle, then about the same for the combination stir fry noodle. All in all an extremely bad experience with the bill nudging $100 for 5 meals (that my dog would turn her nose up at) & 4 non alcoholic drinks (one of which was water) what this place charges $16 for you can get in Sunnybank for $10.
Highly recommend, friendly staff, quick service, traditional vietnamese pho and bun to die for. Busy at lunch times, a little quieter at night.
I love Vietnamese cuisine, and Inala is a perfect area to go to if you are interested in trying authentic Vietnamese food.
