Feedback gevenOn our way to Cibiana we came across this little place with a magnificent view and decided to stop for a bite. The lady and family had been gathering hay and she excused her appearance (trousers and boots) and said, as it was Monday, that she only had a reduced menu to offer. She offered us the best gnocchi ever, made half from pumpkin and the other from herbs. She gave us some Sorpressa for starter, made by them, and it was the best we have ever had. Can highly recommend.
We found Marta's place because we were diverted by navigation due to construction on A-27 on our way to Cortina. It was like God sent us that way to find this little gem. The views, the food, the farm, the animals and Marta's warm welcoming hospitality all made this place special. She made us a fantastic breakfast. Her cheeses are some of the best I tasted in Italy and all made by her. She was so friendly and welcoming. We had the best experience and if ever we are back in the Dolomites, we will be sure to get here for dinner too. As I mentioned in the title -we were staying in Venice when we did this, we rented a car and drove up into the mountains. We left early, got a great day in and joined my parents for dinner in Venice at 6pm. Most people are unaware that even though Venice is beautiful, some of the most beautiful mountains in the world are only one and a half hrs from there and an easy, beautiful drive. Don't miss this authentic Italian experience. Thank you Marta for a truly memorable experience. -John Jen
Tasty food that you won't find anywhere else, very specific to this part of the region. Worth travelling to taste something unique. Marta was a fantastic host, and pretty funny too!
