Steak N Shake - Forsyth

The staff are friendly and helpful! Every time I visit this place, I have a great time! I usually order takeout for lunch and the price per person ranges from $1 to $10. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a top rating of 5.

I am not a fan of the kiosk ordering system and the limited service from wait staff at this restaurant. The service rating is a 3 out of 5. I dined in for dinner and the price per person was between $10 and $20. The food scored a 5 out of 5, but the atmosphere was rated a 3 out of 5. I would recommend trying the Thin N Crispy Fries.

I had not been to this restaurant in a while and was disappointed to see that they now have a kiosk for ordering and paying. The food was average and nothing to write home about, so we do not have any plans to go back. In terms of ratings, the food would be a 3, service a 1, and atmosphere a 2. The prices per person ranged from $10 to $20 for dinner.

This is not about this location in particular. I've been eating at Steak Shake for like 60 years, and for the last 30 would go with my family every time I was in town. This visit, the first in 7 years, I found that whoever owns the chain now has wrecked it. No more table service. No more of their iconic hot pepper sauce for the chili. Is it really that expensive that they can't have a bottle on hand? The burger tasted bland, like something you'd get on a McDonald's single. And it wasn't properly smashed to get the crispy edges. This will be my last visit to Steak Shake unless I hear they've changed. I'm not the only one...the three of us were the only customers in the restaurant at 11:30 on a Saturday.

I am old school and would rather be able to talk to a real person and give my order to and they write it down which takes a whole lot less time, rather than have to stand there trying to figure out how to use the stupid kiosk machines to even be able to place an order. It took way too long. Next, I don't know what I paid for because as you can see by the pics that my burger was smaller than my hand and so was my husband's and both burgers were over $7. The meat was paper thin and tasteless. The kiosk makes them look real big and good but when you get your food it's a joke.
