Lost Cajun Rest - Fort Collins

This restaurant was not at all what we expected! The seafood boil was served on a plate instead of in a bag like we had anticipated. My husband enjoyed the taste, but felt the serving size was too small. The chicken and sausage gumbo came in a large bowl and tasted like canned soup. Our server was very friendly, however, the rest of the staff were not welcoming. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

Our experience at this restaurant was awful. Only one out of the four people in our group enjoyed their meal. The jambalaya I ordered was bland and mushy. While our waitress provided good service, she was visibly embarrassed by the slow kitchen. We waited an hour for our food. In the future, if the wait staff knows that the food preparation is lagging, they should consider offering a complimentary round of drinks or a discount on the meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and will definitely return. The service and food were excellent. The Alligator Bites were decent, lacking a bit of flavor, but this may be due to the amount of seasoning in the breading. The dipping sauce was delicious. We each ordered a sandwich and fries, and everything was delicious!

Unfortunately, The Lost Cajun was not as I expected. We started off with the Gator Bites fried pickles no complaints there. We ordered the Jambalaya,blackened fish stirfry, small seafood boil. (Not the season for crawfish so those aren?t available) therice had very little flavor but the fish crab were very flavorful so it hardly balanced it out. The seafood boil was cold andbecause of that the shrimp was hard to peel. We had the beignet and it was delicious!!our server was really nice thats whatmade me change this review to 4 stars.

I love working at The Lost Cajun, the food and drinks are delicious (the lobster bisque and the crab cakes are my favorites all the time) and I love the atmosphere here. As someone from the south, I love serving people really SWEET sweet tea, something sadly hard to find for us in Colorado. I love my job and hope to have the opportunity to serve you!
