Feedback gevenExcellent dinner! It's been over 30 years since I've eaten here last night and still loves it. We started with the passion fruit ceviche- brilliant. I had a chicken cesar salad when I wanted Dessert. My wife had roasted the pan Black Grouper and we loved both. She replaced the green beans for Brussels shoots and they were from this world. The most important lime cake for dinner was great. I wish I had enough room for two. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was easy as Hotel Valet took care of it.
Nice evening at the boathouse! Although there was a little waiting time to take place (no reservation made) we could sit at the bar and enjoy drinks and an appetizer of Key West Fritters that were absolutely delicious (not shown). Fortunately, when our table was available, we sat outside and it was perfect- easy in time for sunset! My daughter ordered the hangar steak, but unfortunately they were all out, so she ended the pasta order, which was okay, but it wasn't the hangar steak she wanted! I ordered the salmon with Quinoa that was great and a very generous portion that I can add! For dessert we ordered the coconut cake, which was sweet! Our server was attentive and helpful – this is a must in my book!
This restaurant deserves five stars! The food is absolutely amazing. The sushi pizza is out of this world. The cocktails are fantastic, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The happy hour, running from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., is unbeatable. Plus, the location right on the New River is lovely. I can't wait to return!
I attempted to make a reservation online, but they were fully booked. Fortunately, I decided to take a chance by walking in and was seated right away. The service was outstanding; our server was attentive, quick, and engaged us in great conversation. We started with gator tacos and conch fritters. The tacos had a flavor reminiscent of chicken, which I’ve heard is common among gator dishes. The fritters were phenomenal and came with a delightful arugula salad. For my main course, I had the grouper, which was cooked to perfection. Lastly, we enjoyed the key lime cake for dessert, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! I’m glad we decided to visit.
The best way to secure a table here is to call ahead and make a reservation. Their happy hour menu is fantastic—affordable and with small portions, making it perfect for visitors like me who want to sample a variety of dishes. My husband tried the alligator meat, and it was surprisingly not fishy at all! I highly recommend that anyone hesitant about trying alligator meat step out of their comfort zone and give it a try!
