Stache Drinking Den - Fort Lauderdale

It was definitely a day for a gin and tonic, and the bartender did an excellent job with the pour!

Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to attend an exclusive event at Stache Drinking Den, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was swept away by the lively ambiance and energetic vibe. While my recollection of the experience may jump around, every moment contributed to the charm of this unique venue. As a devoted cocktail lover, I explored a variety of drinks on both the first and second floors. However, it was at the first-floor bar where mixologist Tico truly impressed me. His passion and precision in crafting each drink were palpable, making them unforgettable. It's worth noting the appetizers I tried during my visit. They were decent, though not exceptional—serving more to enhance the overall experience than to steal the spotlight from the remarkable cocktails. Stache Drinking Den clearly shines when it comes to mixology, which is its greatest strength. I did encounter a minor hiccup during my visit: the ice machine was out of order, resulting in drinks served at a slightly warmer temperature than ideal. Yet, I recognize that technical glitches happen, and I don't think this should tarnish the establishment's reputation. I'm confident that this was a one-off issue. In summary, my night at Stache Drinking Den was truly memorable. The expertly crafted cocktails, especially those made by Tico, exceeded my expectations. The vibrant atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the evening. Despite the brief inconvenience with the ice machine, I wholeheartedly recommend Stache Drinking Den as a must-visit spot that will leave you wanting more. I had an incredible experience at this restaurant, where I just hosted a Christmas party. The service was outstanding, and it's a fantastic venue for private events. I will definitely be planning more parties here in the future!

The website desperately needs updating. It seems they have potential for a nice ambiance, but it fell short. At one point, they might have been great, but serving drinks in plastic cups, offering hot dogs as the only food, lacking a cocktail menu, and having a comedy night with blaring music is not what I would call an inviting atmosphere. I ordered a whiskey sour, but it arrived without egg white, made with store-bought lime juice, and served in a plastic cup. My husband ordered an old-fashioned, which also came in a plastic cup. We couldn't wait to leave. I felt out of place, dressed appropriately while everyone else was in shorts and flip-flops.

I really don't understand how this place has such high ratings. We weren't allowed to go upstairs, and the bartender downstairs told us he couldn’t make any cocktails. All the cocktail ingredients were up there, where we were prohibited from going. It was a huge disappointment because we thought it would be a great spot for some drinks.
