The Mason Jar Cafe - Fort Lauderdale

The menu looked decent, but it took a long time for someone to greet us and take our drink orders. The staff seemed irritated when I asked a few questions about the menu. I ordered the pigs in a blanket appetizer, which I could swear were the frozen ones from Publix—and to top it off, they were burnt! Seriously, how do you mess up hot dogs? Everything seemed to take an eternity, despite the fact that there were only about four tables occupied. I tried the skirt steak, which was average at best and cooked beyond the medium rare I had requested. My mother always told me to be polite, but honestly, I’m struggling with this review. The poor location, subpar food, and dismissive service leave a lot to be desired. I wouldn't be surprised if there’s a new sign in the window soon. Save your time and money on this one.

My friend and I visited The Mason Jar for dinner, and I was really impressed by how clean and affordable it was. The restaurant has about twenty tables, all of which were occupied. Paula and Scott were the two servers, and I haven't seen anyone work as hard as they did. They efficiently attended to every table in a timely manner. I thought the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the dishes served.

Everything we've had here for lunch or dinner has been excellent.

The food is good and of high quality, but it is on the expensive side, so expect to spend around $20-25 for lunch. I tried the mason jar salad, which was very fresh, and the turkey sandwich, which had a good portion size. The raspberry aioli was delicious, and the Brussels sprouts were also very tasty. However, the crème brûlée was a bit underwhelming due to its small, thin portion. Overall, it was a nice experience!

The food here is consistently delicious, and everything on the menu is fantastic! The servers are very attentive, and even though it tends to be quite busy, we felt we had a sense of privacy at our table.
