Mcray's Roadhouse Grill - Fort McMurray

Initially hesitant due to the mixed reviews, we decided to dine at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming service provided by our waitress, Hazel. Despite some items on the menu being a bit pricey, our overall experience was enjoyable and we would definitely consider returning in the future.

Do not confuse this restaurant with McRay's Classic Cafe, as it lacks the cozy atmosphere found here. McRay's is a typical oilfield cafe, serving only comfort food with efficient waitstaff and simple furnishings. They offer breakfast all day, which is excellent. The coffee is served in classic white mugs, adding to the low-key charm. Just be cautious sitting near the door during winter, as it can get drafty.

I went to fort McMurray for business, came to get breakfast every morning. The efficient serving is convenient for me. I've tried dinner once, is nice. I also made new friends at the bar, very nice night.

I went here for breakfast one day on the recommendation of a co-worker. You see, I am a breakfast junkie. Could probably have breakfast 3 meals a day! Alas, it was not very clean. The food was alright but nothing to write home about. I won't go out of my way to get back here.

There isn't much to choose from at this restaurant. I was disappointed by the extremely rude staff, who blamed me for a server accidentally spilling coffee on my lap. The food quality was also lacking. The only reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because it is inexpensive, but there is a good reason for that.
