Margaritas Mexican - Fort Mill

Unexpected charges and fees made our night out quite pricey. The margarita flight cost $22 (not listed on the menu), and I believe it would be more appealing at $16. Additionally, there was a non-cash fee of around $2.50 for using a credit card, which seems excessive and could potentially be against regulations. A side of cheese for the fajitas also set us back $2. In total, our bill came to around $88 for the two of us. While the birria pizza and fajitas were tasty, the overall atmosphere and high costs didn’t justify it. If I’m going to spend over $60, there are definitely better restaurants that offer more value. If I decide to return, I'll be more careful about what I order.

We had a fantastic experience! Our waitress was exceptional. My 3-year-old is quite picky, but she finished everything on her plate! Well done, team! Food rating: 4/5.

When we requested the bill, we were surprised to see a charge for the chips and salsa. They had not informed us about this charge when they initially set the chips and salsa on our table or when they asked if we wanted refills. Additionally, guacamole salad is listed as a side on the menu but appears as an upcharge when you receive the bill. We also incurred a fee for using a credit card, which we found frustrating, especially given the rising prices everywhere. This arbitrary fee for card transactions is unreasonable, and as a result, we will not be returning to this or any Margaritas Restaurant. As for the food, it was only moderately acceptable, barely an improvement over Taco Bell. The presentation was quite messy, and while the quality of the ingredients was reasonable for the price, the portion sizes were small and not worth what we paid. Surprisingly, given that it’s a Mexican restaurant, the flavors were rather bland. On a positive note, the establishment was clean and well-maintained. It seemed quite popular, as many people were dining there. However, the men's restroom could use some better upkeep. While this restaurant may be favored by some, I don’t believe it justifies the time or money spent. There are definitely better options out there that are transparent about their charges.

Sadly, Margaritas is a shadow of its former self. The prices they charges for the quality of food they are serving is completely out of whack. The food quality and quantity has steadily dropped since it first opened but the prices they are charges are outrageous when compared to the many other Mexican food options available in the community. Very disappointed in what happened to this place. Sadly, we will not be giving Margaritas any more of our family's business as the product is average at best and priced for a high quality meal.

Service was A+! The food and drinks were also great, everything was fresh.
