I ordered their house-made sweet tea, which was decent but not exceptional. The menu was extensive, and it took me a while to go through it. I eventually chose the jambalaya, which is something not many places make well, if at all. However, this one was good—almost as good as my own recipe. It was packed with shrimp, sausage, and chicken, although I would have preferred dark meat instead of the white chicken they used. The spiciness was just right for me, so I didn’t need to add any extra hot sauce. This is how jambalaya should be made, although it might be a bit too spicy for Floridians, but that's their loss. My only minor complaint was that the celery was a bit too crunchy. However, I appreciate that they make it fresh every day due to its popularity. Since I arrived right when they opened, I also got to enjoy the lightly toasted garlic bread that comes with the jambalaya—it was perfect for soaking up all the juices. Overall, it was a wonderful dish, and I can see why it's the second most popular entrée on the menu. Lastly, a shout-out to my server, Louis; he did an excellent job!
