Charlie's Family - Fort Washington

Hidden gem, but truly amazing. Food was excellent and the main hostess/waitress was a joy!

Their pizza used to be the best in southern Maryland and now it's not even edible. It's gotten worse and worse over the last couple of years (since just after the change in ownership). So sad. We won't be going back.

This place has gone downhill. So not the friendly and warm atmosphere it used to be. The woman behind the counter is downright rude and nasty. You can tell even before you walk in with all the obnoxious signage. Server felt standoffish at first. Will never come back. Might as well call it Karen’s now.

I was driving in the area and got hungry so I went to this place and I was so pissed. I literally left my food on the table didn’t even take a bite and left the restaurant. After waiting 20 minutes and after paying I went to eat and whatever white stuff they put on the grilled chicken pita smelled so bad, I was disgusted I could not eat it even though I was starving. Such a waste of my money and time. I asked the lady what was in the food and she only told me chicken, lettuce and tomatoes in a pita. I will definitely not be coming here anymore.

While driving N to Alexandria from Stingray Pt, VA via 301 Bridge and on Indian Head Hwy, got hungry and used Google to find us a place to stop and eat.WOW!Great food. Cream of Crab soup had a very rich flavor and lots of Crab and more. My wife's onion rings, made on site were equally superb.I had the 8 oz Cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, tomato.Huge and top of the line beef, one of the best I have had in years.And, only $9.00!For our frequent trips back and forth , we will ensure that a portion of our trip is on Indian Head Hwy and not on I 95, so we can stop and eat at Charlie's, or call ahead and takeout.
