I popped in for dinner while staying next door at Central Brunswick Apartments. It was early in the week (Monday) not much was open. I was having a vegetarian day ordered vegetarian noodles with stir fried vegetables which were good. The venue is interesting and has a pool table inside. There is plenty of space the staff were friendly efficient.
Whilst I've had their Parmi's a couple of times and they're good (great selection... some of which are unique! the real reason I'm always here is for their Nepalese food! There's a few things I've tried that I don't know the name of which I love, but in all honesty, I LOVE LOVE LOVE their dumplings..... made with Love! We all love dumplings right!? But these Nepalese style are FANTASTIC with their couple of different sauces and a couple of different styles! A quick word of warning though... Try to the hot sauce sparingly and stick to the SoyBean base if you don't like it really hot!!
7of us went for dinner and food was very ordinary. Not bad but not great. Wanted a cocktail but was told No one was making cocktails that night. Had a voucher for 25% off the total bill but they couldn't work out how much to take off and instead of taking off $30 they would only take off $17. Not a place I'd go back too.
I think it’s fair to say this place lacks an identity. Is it a bar, a restaurant or a cafe! The exterior seating area is decked out with tinsel and Christmas baubles, the interior is more like a cafe with a pool table. Can’t knock the food though for the price it was good and cooked fresh. The house wine was appalling. We went on a Friday evening and it wasn’t very busy. We’d go back for a lunch but not an evening meal due to the ambience. Keep the chef and waitress, Ditch the decor and it’ll make money.
