Feedback gevenHad brunch here which seems a bit out of place for a dressed up restaurant, but I was willing to give it a shotStaff were quite pleasant and attentive.
The food was gorgeous we are the Morton bag bugs and the beef with potato galette. Like others have said, the service was terrible from the very beginning as soon as we walked in the door. We had to hunt down staff to order drinks and food. My cocktail was terrible. Extremely sour. Our deconstructed cocktails came with no explanation of what anything on the board was. The atmosphere also isn't great, lighting way too bright and I don't remember hearing any music. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful but some of the seating is quite awkward. Would come back only for the food- only if they get new staff! Forgot to mention: the waiter chased us outside once we had paid and left to go to the bar next door with the tip we left insisting we take it back and making a scene in front of a large group of people waiting to get inside the bar- clearly it wasn't a big enough tip for him. My partner was absolutely disgusted and felt humiliated.
Very disappointed. Nice enough decor and drinks but service was marginal and no one cared that I didn't eat most of my meal (which was inedible )
Unfortunately I think that this establishment is a victim of their own success. The food was ok depending on what you ordered but service is really their downfall. Understandably Saturday nights are definitely the busiest nights of the week for any restaurant, but it seemed the place was under staffed. It took us half an hour and yelling out to wait staff to be served, even just for drinks! Took hours for food to come out. When they called to confirm my online booking it was more than a week later and they told us that we're being sat at high table due to a function, which they long knew about when I made the booking. Most restaurants I've been to follow up on bookings the day after for online bookings. The food wasn't all that great, but it did depend on what you ordered and was more than overpriced! Decided to do a walkin on Friday night, we were promptly seated at the high bar in the back which was more than acceptable as the place was packed with diners. We decided to indulge and share a dozen oysters Rockefeller as an entree and they were some of tyre nicest I've had in Australia, not up to the standard of the traditional ones you'll have in the states, but still impressive. Mains were confit duck and the scallops, both of which were incredible...topped off with a wonderful Grenache, it wad a prefect end to a great day. Only downside was our waiter was obviously new and learning the restaurants software system, which caused a couple of minors issues, but they were totally understandable. We will definitely be going back
