N.b. Sorensen Express - Forus Norge

Unfortunately we've been sited in the back while tables were available in the front too. The feeling was that we've been placed a bit further from the crowd because we had the both kids with us 7 and 5 years old). I happily came to this place, remembering the years when I lived here and had so many great memories about it. It looks that now, with an extended family is not the same. So not child friendly for a nice Saturday lunch : .

Pretty bad atmosphere and experience. We first got served charcuterie board served even though we didnt order it, the waiter came and took it away without explanation. Then when we were done eating, out of nowhere we were splashed with hot water from the kitchen. Apparently some waiter pressed a wrong button. Very unclassy, soaked experience. The waitresses were a bit rude. Food is overall ok, burger is a bit too spicy for my taste with chilli and jalapeno.

This restaurant is authentic and conveniently located in the center! It's a fantastic spot to sample local cuisine. We started with the shared shrimp appetizer, followed by the fish soup and catch of the day. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly. It was also a nice touch to try some local beers at the bar. We highly recommend this place!

The food and service at this restaurant were outstanding. While it may be a bit pricey, the location right on the water in Stavangar is fantastic, and the portion sizes are generous. The staff were extremely accommodating, especially with us dining with a baby. I personally felt that the 4.1-star rating it had when I visited was a bit low.

The fish soup is excellent and the scallops are to die for! The Christmas rib plate and beer are also above average. Yum!
