Nep Cafe Brunch - Fountain Valley

We arrived right when they opened on a Monday morning, and there were already two parties ahead of us. This place is quite popular and has a modern aesthetic. The presentation of the food offers a contemporary take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine. My favorite was the egg coffee; unlike others I've tried, which only offer egg foam, this one includes an actual egg flavor that you can taste. The xoi man presented an interesting mix of flavors, and the sticky rice paired with pork floss was delicious. The crab toast was also quite tasty. However, the standout dish was the banh mi chao with filet mignon. The baguettes were crunchy and warm, beautifully complemented by the sauce and pâté. I would love to return to explore more of their menu!

Absolutely amazing brunch! I could eat ten plates of their fried rice. You can really taste the chef's passion in every dish. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was spotless. I definitely want to return. The flavors are unlike anything you usually experience, but in an incredible way. They are wonderfully innovative and perfectly executed.

When I arrived at this restaurant, I was immediately impressed by its design and atmosphere. The modern aesthetic, paired with minimalist decor, created a lovely vibe. The food was outstanding; I had the bone marrow pasta, and while there wasn't a lot of bone marrow in the dish, the flavor of the pasta more than compensated for it. I also enjoyed the egg coffee, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to dine in style.

Got the Crab Toast and added bone marrow. The marrow was deliciously sweet. The crab was very flavorful, especially with the added masago. And the eggs were perfectly scrambled. Came on a Sunday at 11:45 and ended up waiting an hour after I was quotedan hour and 15 minutes. Food was great. I was feeling a little queasy, so I couldn't fully enjoy it. Not sure if it's worth thewait all the time, but definitely worth a try. My biggest complaint is it was LOUD. I felt like everyone was yelling and themusic was blasting.

Excellent food, excellent drinks. Came here for a birthday lunch for a coworker and all our dishes were very tasty (we shared). My entree was the spicy chicken noodles. Yum! I'll be coming back when I get back into this part of LA, but make sure you make areservation; lines are long even with a reservation. I never order these types of drinks, but I got talked into it today; noregrets. It was perfect for a warm Southern California afternoon.
