The management was top-notch. However, it seems that the restaurant is now being run by young and inexperienced staff who may not fully understand their job responsibilities. The lack of proper training is evident in the decline of service quality. This was my third time giving this place another chance, but unfortunately, it was another disappointment. I had high hopes for improvement, as this location is convenient for me, but at this point, Black Bear Diner wins hands down. In today's economy, where people are looking to get the best value for their money, I would recommend avoiding this IHOP. There was no warning when my hamburger arrived with cold, unmelted cheese. The server took it back and microwaved it, causing the salad and tomato to become soggy.
The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the waitstaff were fantastic. Despite being extremely busy, they still excelled in every way. Well done!
This restaurant is very hit or miss. Either it's really good or it's really bad. If you get delivery and they don't have an item you ordered, they will not tell the delivery driver and you find out after you get your order. The customer service is a joke. You'll have to call a corporate call center and get transferred 4 times and then be told too bad.
I take care of my 85 year old mother who is 100% disbled and wheelchaired bound, so when i have had to run errands all day with her i am in no condition to cook due to my own over taxed physical disabilities. On these days its usually easier to just stop and eat. In years past Ihop was always a sure bet for good food no matter where you were, no matter the city, no matter the state but i would say over the last 10 years this once great chain has become 2nd rate. I ordered for my mom the classic basic cheesebuger with no tomatoes no sauce or catsup due to tomato allergies Strike one her cheeseburger came to the table with a tomato based sauce on top of the cheese. I ordered the boneless chicken with mashed potatoes corn and brown gravy. Strike two- my chicken dinner came to the table with stuff that was not gravy. It was a sauce for a southwestern dinner that had jalapeno peppers in it. I have a pepper allergy so guess who was not thrilled when i put it on my potatoes and discovered it was not gravy? The acting manager made excuses for the cook staff saying that the gravy and this sauce were in simular containers. The cook staff can't read? Were the containers marked? My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach. Strike 3- his spinach didnt taste right, and was under cooked. I give our waitress an A+ for her part, and she definately earned her tip but over all I give IHOP a failing grade. This is the absolute last time i eat at IHOP here or anywhere. Their quality of food no longer stands up to their
I’ve been looking forward to IHOP all week, but unfortunately it fell flat. Server was sweet but inattentive, food was cold, and we weren’t given any condiments to include syrup. When we asked for some we got one 1oz of very cold syrup to put on our cold pancakes. In the end we took them home to enjoy them hot, but when we did they were so dry we couldn’t eat them. They also tasted metallic. In today’s world of delivery, you need to take care of those who take the time to actually enter the doors of your establishment. It was such an disappointment. We even had to wait 5 minutes at the front before being acknowledged and we did not go in during the breakfast rush. Manager was wiping down menus instead of assisting the overwhelmed service staff.
